Lynn Kelman receives Syl Apps Award

Apr 29, 2014 | Uncategorized

Lynn Kelman, past president of OFSAA, recently received the Syl Apps Award in recognition of her volunteer contributions to school sport in Ontario.  The award was presented by Michael Chan, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport at the Ontario Sport Awards ceremony in April.

Lynn has been an educator for 32 years and is currently the principal at Banting Memorial High School in Alliston.  She has been very involved in school sport, volunteering at the school, local, and provincial levels.  Lynn has taken on many roles over the years including coach, association representative, committee member, and committee chair, as well as OFSAA vice president, president and past president.

During her tenure Lynn has displayed outstanding leadership, always working for fair and equitable competition for the student-athletes.

Please join the OFSAA family in congratulating Lynn on the recognition she has deservedly earned.
