The 2015 Ontario Coaching Excellence Awards are being held this September 19th in Toronto and nominations are now open! Coaches will be honoured for their contributions to School Sport :
The selection of recipients (1 Male and 1 Female teacher-coach) is based on their unique contribution to sport through continuous development of new coaches. The nominated coach must have influenced the development of new coaches and have shown evidence of program building as well as encouraging athletes to give back to sport. Furthermore the nominated coaches’ coaching style has proven to be ethical, demonstrated sportsmanship and contributed to the “education through school sport philosophy”.
This award is open to active teacher-coaches with a minimum of five (5) years coaching experience. Nominated coaches must have coached two (2) or more sports in a school year over the period of five (5) years. Please see the attached form for award and nomination details. Nominations will only be accepted from association representatives in the identified regions and are due to the OFSAA Office by June 8, 2015.
