Courses Coming In November

Sep 16, 2022 | Wellness

Teachers and Administrators,
The Mental Health First Aid course serves to prepare participants to interact confidently about mental health with their family, friends, communities, and workplaces. In-person and Online/virtual courses are currently being offered.
This course was developed by the Mental Health Commission of Canada (over 500,000 Canadians have been taught in Mental Health First Aid and versions of this course are being offered in 25 countries) and the Commission’s focus is to make meaningful contributions to the wellness of Canadians through world-class mental health courses.
Participants will be taught how to notice the changes and signs of a decline in mental well being; how to initiate a conversation and to listen and respond non-judgmentally to family members/friends/colleagues etc.; learn the professional and other supports that exist; to assist in a crisis situation; and to employ self-care when needed to ensure their own well-being. Following the course, successful participants will receive certification from the Mental Health Commission of Canada.
After two years of isolation, uncertainty and concern, mental health care and education would be highly beneficial for a team/staff to take care of themselves and each other; not to mention a professional development endeavour.  This course breaks down barriers and will improve society. To book a course, please view the options below.
For courses already booked and open to the public, please find the courses and registration links below. If you need more information, feel free to contact Jason Alderson directly or visit the website.
