Assistant Director Position Announcement

Dec 21, 2016 | Uncategorized

It is with mixed emotions that we announce that Lexy Fogel will be moving on after nine years with the OFSAA family to work as Program Consultant with the Games Unit at the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport. Lexy will be greatly missed by OFSAA but we wish her all the best in her new role that will start on January 23, 2017. The Ministry is very lucky to have her working for them.

“It’s been such a pleasure working with all the amazing volunteers, teacher-coaches and staff. They all have a great passion for school sport and developing student-athletes and I’ve learned so much from working with them that I will take forward in both my professional and personal life.” – Lexy Fogel

OFSAA would like to welcome Jim Barbeau as its interim Assistant Director responsible for girls’ championships and festivals, the Swimming Championship, the Convenor Workshop, girls’ Sport Advisory Committees, Volleyball, Rugby, Swimming and Hockey Sport Advisory Committees and the CIAAA Athletic Directors Conference. Jim will assume the interim assistant director position as of January 23, 2017.

Jim Barbeau has been working with OFSAA as a special projects coordinator since the fall of 2014, coordinating alpine skiing, snowboarding, tennis, and the Board of Reference – Sanctions. Jim worked at Nicholson Catholic College for 27 years, serving as athletic director for 21 years before retirement.

OFSAA will post for a permanent assistant director later this school year.
