The OFSAA Alumni Scholarship Fund will be awarding scholarships to deserving student-athletes from member schools from the following OFSAA member Associations in 2024 – 25:
EOSSAA, LOSSA, ROPSSAA, SOSSA, TDSSAA, WOSSAA
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS is Wednesday, April 30, 2025
APPLICATION PROCESS: PLEASE COMPLETE THE APPLICATION FORM AND ATTACH THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS CONTAINED IN THE LINK BELOW. Applications that are not completed properly will not be considered.
CRITERIA FOR SELECTION
- Participation in School Sport throughout High School
- Involvement in other School and Community Activities
- Attendance at a Canadian Post-Secondary institution
- Completion and submission of a one (1) page essay outlining the personal value of participation in School Sport
- Letter of recommendation from a teacher or teacher/coach at the high school
- Minimum academic average of 80
PROCESS FOR SELECTION OF RECIPIENTS
- Application forms are completed by student-athletes from the six eligible associations listed above.
- Completed applications must be submitted by Wednesday, April 30, 2025
- Alumni Selection Committee reviews eligible applications and selects recipients by the end of June, 2024.
PRESENTATION OF SCHOLARSHIPS
- Recipients will receive a small plaque along with a scholarship cheque once proof of registration at a Canadian post-secondary institution is received
- Each scholarship recipient will be profiled in the OFSAA Bulletin, on the OFSAA’s website and on all available social media platforms.
